A lovely and unusual stamp holder that could also be used as a locket. It it is made from 830 silver, marked on the side, meaning that it is likely Scandinavian in origin. It has a pretty, repetitive shell pattern to the front and back and a sliding mechanism where the internal cavity slides out to the side. It looks a little like a book and hangs at a perfect angle from a chain. Inside, there is an old 1D stamp and a little oval window making the piece very versatile in terms of use.

Condition - Good. Some dings and dents to the sliding ‘door’ around the edges, please see the pictures. Some wear at the centre of the shell pattern from use over the years. This gives the piece a lovely hint at the history.
