Art Deco 9ct Snake Bangle
An absolutely wonderful bracelet from the Art Deco period, dated London 1923 with a full English hallmark (worn, though the date letter is very visible). The bracelet has a hollow construction and is a rigid circular bangle. The bangle overlaps at the top with the head and tail of the snake crossing beyond each other. The snake has a lovely friendly face and the bangle is in beautiful condition.
Details:
Materials - 9ct Gold (full hallmark)
Age - Dated London 1923
Size - The bangle measures approx 4.5mm wide with the widest section at the head measuring around 13.5mm wide. It has an inside diameter of approx 2 5/8” or 66mm. It would fit a medium wrist well. Please bear in mind that it must slip over the hand and a person with a medium wrist would likely be able to do this. It is a slightly larger bangle style, though not as large as the bangles that were worn up the top of the arm.
Condition - Very good. Minimal dings commensurate with. A possible repair to one area, though this is not at all noticeable and the bangle is secure
Weight - 13.18g
