Art Deco Moonstone & Diamond Ring

A beautiful ring from the early 20th Century, c1920s. The ring is made from 9ct gold with a silver setting. It has a beautiful halo of rose cut diamonds set into a scalloped edged design. The diamonds are beautifully uniform and have perhaps replaced paste stones, though the ring came to me as it is. It has been beautifully done and only the uniformity of the rose cuts gives me this impression. At the centre is a lovely blue/grey cabochon moonstone. The moonstone appears a little bluer on the hand and has a pretty glow. The basket of the setting is beautifully done and there is plenty of attention to detail.
