Edwardian 15ct Gold Engraved Heart Locket

A beautiful heart locket from the Edwardian period, dated Chester 1906. The locket is made from solid 15ct gold and has a lovely crisp English hallmark on the back. The front and back are entirely engraved with beautiful flowers and a little highlight of a greek key design to the back. The front has a small cartouche, which has the letters LP inside. Inside the heart there are two frames that can be removed to place your own photos behind. The heart is a lovely medium size and the intricate engraving really sets this piece apart.

The locket will come on a 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.

Age - Dated Chester 1906

Size - The locket measures approx 23mm long excluding the bail and is around 21.5mm wide.

Condition - Very good. The locket does not close with a snap closure and the edges push together to close. The locket stays shut when worn, though there is a minimal gap of approx 0.5mm when the locket is closed, filled by the gold lip on one side (please see the photos).

Weight - 3.83g locket only.
