Edwardian 9ct Gold Bangle Bracelet

sold out

A lovely bangle bracelet from the early 20th Century, c1900s. The bracelet is made from 9ct gold and has an openwork design. It has two outer gold hoops that have lovely engraving on the outside and are angled to the outer edge with a soft round edge on the inside for comfort. These are held together with soldered bars at intervals along the inside. In between these two is an alternative, slightly softer hoop of gold with torpedo links. The whole bracelet is rigid and the inner does not move independently of the outer. The bracelet slips over the hand and sits loosely on the wrist. These bangles are getting harder to find in good condition. This is a lovely example.

Details:

Materials - 9ct Gold (marked, though rubbed. Also tested)

Age - C1900s

Size - The bangle is approximately 4.5mm wide all the way around. The inner diameter is 2.6”/6.8cm. It would fit a small to medium person. It feels quite comfortable and safe on my 6” wrist, though this depends a little on your hand size. Would certainly fit comfortably up to 6 1/2”

Condition - Excellent

Weight - 13.02g
