Edwardian Aquamarine & Pearl Drop Earrings

A pretty pair of earrings from the Edwardian period, c1905. The earrings are made from 9ct gold fill and have pretty pale blue aquamarines set in rub over settings at the top and the bottom. Interestingly, one of the larger oval stones tests as a zircon rather than an aquamarine. The match is exceptional and I believe all the stones are original. It is likely the ‘mistake’ was made at the time they were made. To the bottom of the fine stem, the little oval stones have a leaf design studded with seed pearls. Such a pretty and elegant pair of earrings with a little movement in the ear.
