Edwardian Diamond Halo Star Pendant
A beautiful pendant from the Edwardian period, c1905. The pendant is made from 15ct gold and is full of old mine cut diamonds. A larger diamond sits at the centre in a star design with four little diamonds on each of the points. This is surrounded by a halo of smaller old cut diamonds in a continuous circle. The pendant has a pretty scalloped edge, due to the individual millegrain settings of each diamond. Overall, the diamonds draw a little colour and are around I clarity, though they sparkle beautifully and are all original to the piece.
The pendant will come on a 14kt gold fill chain similar to the one pictured.
Details:
Materials - 15ct Gold (tested), Diamonds
Age - C1905
Size - The pendant measures approx 16mm in diameter. The central diamond measures around 2.5mm in diameter.
Condition - Very good. The central diamond has a little chip beneath one claw. The outer diamonds are generally good with a couple showing a tiny chip here and there, likely set like this originally. Noted for accuracy only.
Weight - 2.4g pendant only.
