Edwardian 9ct Family Locket
A beautiful, simple locket from the late Edwardian period, dated Birmingham 1917. The locket is made from solid 9ct gold with full English hallmarks and a makers marks of M.W&S, Matthew Wilcox & Son; a maker who was active during this period. It would be described as a family locket as it has space for 4 photos, two on the inside of each door and two back to back in the middle, which turns on an axis. This cental frame is marked with the word, Patent. I have had a similar locket before and they are obviously a patented design. The locket is a lovely, plain design and looks beautiful on a chain.
The chains pictured are for display only.
