Edwardian Harlequin Mixed Gemstone Necklace

£0.00
sold out

A beautiful necklace from the early 20th Century. The necklace is made from solid 15ct gold and has a selection of gemstones set across the front in claw settings. The gemstones are a mix of tourmalines, garnets and spinel and are a lovely range of colours including pinks, reds, greens, yellows and blues. They are mixed cuts, though overall have the same oval faceted appearance to the front. This style of harlequin jewel from this period is fairly common, more often in bracelets, and the gemstones would have come in a mixed package. The necklace has a fine gold chain and an ‘S’ clasp.

Details:

Materials - 15ct Gold (tested), Tourmalines, Garnets, Spinels

Age - C1905-15

Size - The gemstones are broadly equal in size and measure approximately 8mm by 6mm each. The necklace measures approx 15 3/4” long. There looks to have been a small amount of extension to the chain at the back, noted for accuracy only and not noticeable.

Condition - Very good. Very minimal wear to the gemstones.

Weight - 7.25g
