Edwardian Lucky Bean Necklace

A pretty necklace from the early 20th Century. The necklace is made from silver and has a lucky bean hanging on a simple cable link chain. The chain is also original to the period. The bean has a hollow construction and a slightly puffy shape. I often see these in gold, though the silver ones seem to be harder to find. The chain is complete with a barrel clasp, which is in good working order.

Size - The bean measures approx 18mm long excluding the bail and is around 9mm wide. The chain is approx 1.2mm wide and is around 17” long
