Edwardian Opal & Diamond Trilogy Ring

sold out

A beautiful ring from the Edwardian period, c1910s. The ring is made from 18ct gold and has a wonderful, unusual setting. There are three stunning opals set across the finger that have been set in an alternative way to give this ring a different look from other trilogies. The opals are offset with little old mine cut diamonds. All the stones are set in pinched collet settings, an unusual choice during this period, though ideal for opals, which are one of the softer, more delicate gemstones. The opals have plenty of colour change and fire with tightly packed rainbows within. A lovely opal ring with a difference.
