Edwardian Ornate Knot Ring

A stunning and unusual ring from the Edwardian period, dated Chester 1901. The ring has a full English hallmark and is made from solid 9ct gold. It has a wonderful knot design at the centre made from plain and ornately patterned gold. It has been made beautifully and the contrast between the plain and the patterned is very appealing. Such a lovely and unusual version of this popular design. The knot has many meanings, though during this period it is primarily said to represent the unbreakable bond between two people.

Age - Dated Chester 1901

Size - The knot measures approx 11mm by 9mm.

Ring Size - UK O 3/4 US 7 3/4 It would be tricky to resized this ring, though it could be done.

Condition - Excellent. Some patina in the gold. Evidence of a previous resizing towards the back, though not at all detrimental to the ring.
