Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Twist Ring

£0.00
sold out

A pretty ring from the early 20th Century, c1910s. The ring is made from solid 18ct gold and has a lovely bypass twist design at the top. At the centre is a natural cabochon sapphire, which is a deep, pretty blue. It is set in a rub over setting and has two old mine cut diamonds each side, also set in a plain rub over setting. A beautiful ‘swish’ for your hand.

The sapphire has a little wear and there looks to be an age old fracture in the stone. It looks as if this gemstone may have been set as is and the setting is tight meaning that the stone is held in place. This can only be seen with magnification and it is not obvious at all. The price has been adjusted significantly to take this into account.
