Edwardian Seed Pearl Heart Locket
A pretty heart locket from the early 20th Century, c1905. The locket is made from 9ct gold to the back and the front with metal frames within; this was a common method of construction for lockets during this period and created strength in a much loved item. The locket is a petite heart shape and is studded all over the front with natural seed pearls in star designs. This scattering of stars is reminiscent of a constellation. Inside there are two frames that can be removed to place your own photos behind. One frame has the original glass.
