sold out

A truly lovely locket from the early 20th Century, c1910s. The locket is made from solid 18ct gold and has hallmarks throughout. It is a perfect, slightly puffy heart shape with a rich colour to the gold. Inside there are two heart shaped frames that can be removed to place your own photos behind. Unusually, it is hallmarked on the front and the back. Though this is not common, it is something seen on pieces from this era. It also shows an 18 hallmark on the bail and on one of the undersides of the heart frames inside. A true mark of quality. The hallmarks are rubbed, but 18 can be seen on all marks. An AW is apparent on one side towards the tip; the makers mark. Unfortunately, the date letter is no longer visible.

The locket will come on a 14ct gold fill chain similar to the one pictured.
