Edwardian Tiny Heart Lock Pendant

£0.00
sold out

A pretty and tiny heart lock pendant from the early 20th Century. The heart is made from solid 9ct gold, marked on the back, and has PATd on the side for patented. This is an unusual style of lock with the little lever on the side and this is the mechanism that would have been patented. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way the lock has stopped working correctly and did not remain closed. Consequently, I have opted to have it soldered shut as the mechanism was not repairable. This has been done expertly and is very subtle. The little lock now acts as a tiny heart pendant and looks very cute on a fine chain.

The chain pictured is for display only. All other necklaces pictured are not available.

Details:

Materials - 9ct Gold (marked)

Age - C1905

Size - The heart measures approx 8mm square with the curved lock part making the length 12mm in total.

Condition - Very good

Weight - 0.8g lock only.
