Georgian 15ct Carved Sardonyx Ring
A pretty and understated ring from the Georgian period, early 19th Century. The ring is made from 15ct gold, marked on the inside of the shank, and has the most amazing shank. The shank is like a row of leaves or foliage all the way around meeting the setting at the shoulders with a split design. The back of the setting is closed back with a lovely pattern in the gold, classic to the period. This setting holds a carved sardonyx. The white relief of the stone has been carved to show a Maltese cross design. This is such a pretty and unusual ring, in all original condition. Perfect to add to any collection.
