Georgian 18ct Grapes Watch Key

A lovely and unusual watch key from the Regency period, c1830s. The key is made from solid 18ct gold and the main design is a large bunch of grapes with an amazing leaf covering the top. The bulk of the key is rose gold, whilst the leaf is a rich yellow gold. The key is complete with a reeded bail and is beautiful quality. Historically, grapes have symbolised abundance and fertility; this is a lovely example.
