Georgian Large Agate Hand Pendant with Split Ring
A wonderful and surprising pendant from the Georgian period, c1800. The pendant is likely to be a tea caddy spoon; a spoon used for mixing the tea and adding the tea leaves to the pot. This example is a fantastic piece of carved agate, in the shape of a giant hand or fist, complete with thumbnail. It is such a lovely large size and has 9ct gold fittings.
