Georgian Ouroboros Seal
A wonderful seal from the Georgian period. The seal is made from 9ct gold that has a soft rosy hue and is quite pale in appearance. The seal has a lovely geometric patterned base, a common sight in seals of this age, and is topped by an ouroboros snake. This is a snake eating its own tail creating a never ending circle; a sign for infinity and depicting the circle of life. It was also given as a sign of eternal love. This seal is in beautiful original condition and has a good strong bail to allow it to be worn on a chain or a split ring.
