Mid Century 18kt Cabochon Garnet Wave Ring
A stunning ring from the middle of the 20th Century, c1940s/50s. The ring is French in origin and is made from 18kt gold. The whole shank and ring is of a hollow construction making it fairly lightweight. It has a wave design all around the shank giving it a very stylish look. At the centre top, a gorgeous cabochon garnet has been set. The garnet has a fairly high dome allowing the deep rich red colour to catch the light. Although the ring is fairly wide all the way around, it feels very comfortable on the finger. A truly wonderful ring in excellent condition.

Materials - 18kt Gold (hallmarked with French mark on outside of shank), Garnet
Age - Mid 20th Century
Size - The garnet measures approx 5.5mm by 4mm. The ring measures approx 8mm wide at the top narrowing to 6mm wide at the bottom.
Ring Size - Measures UK O 1/2 US 7 1/2 on mandrel, fits more like a UK O US 7 due to width. This ring cannot be resized.
Condition - Very good. A scratch on the inside back of the shank on the underside of the hallmark. Noted for accuracy only and not visible outwardly on the ring.
