Victorian 15ct Gold Enamel Fish
A wonderful pendant from the late Victorian period. The pendant is made from solid 15ct gold, marked on the jump ring, and has been beautifully crafted to represent a fish. The fish has a flip in his tail as if he is jumping out of the water and is covered in beautiful enamel. In my mind, the enamel is fitting for a rainbow trout and shows beautiful colour and detail. There is some enamel loss to the underside of the fish, though it remains as eye-catching as ever before and this small amount of damage has been reflected in the price. To finish the piece, the fish has little red garnet eyes.
The fish will come on a 14kt gold fill chain similar to the one pictured.
