Victorian 15ct Gold Star Link Chain
An absolutely wonderful chain from the late Victorian period. The chain is made from solid 15ct gold and has a little tab stating this at the end of the chain. The links are cut out stars within a circle and have a beautiful twist rope design when viewed from the side. They are all original and in excellent condition with no evidence of wear at all. It looks as though it has hardly been worn and has a lovely weight to it; heavy enough to feel the quality, but not so heavy that it is cumbersome to wear. The chain has a sprung bolt ring clasp, which tests as 18ct gold and is likely a replacement to the original. It is a lovely large size and very much in keeping with the overall look. A truly wonderful piece; I was so pleased to find it.
