Victorian 15ct Lantern Compass Pendant

A spectacular example of this style of fob from the Victorian period. The pendant is made from solid 15ct gold and has full English hallmarks dating it to Birmingham 1897. It has been made in the shape of a lantern and has a crisp sardonyx to one side and a lovely, seemingly working, compass to the other. It has been beautifully made and it is great to find one of these in 15ct gold; more often than not, they are 9ct.

Size - The lantern measures approx 24mm excluding the bail, by 17mm wide at the base.

Condition - Very good. Some wear commensurate with age. Some patina to the gold.
