Victorian 18ct Ivy Leaf Locket
A wonderful locket from the Victorian period, c1870s. The locket is made from solid 18ct gold and is in beautiful condition. It is wonderfully engraved all around the front and back and has a little rope twist design separating the panels. The engraving depicts ivy leaves, which were seen as a sign of everlasting love and friendship during this period. Inside, the locket has the two original frames and glass. One of the glass panels is broken in a straight line through the middle. As it is original, I have left it, though I can replace it with perspex if required.
The chain pictured is for display only.

Age - C1870s
