Victorian 9ct Gold Belcher Link Chain 20.5"

sold out

A beautiful chain from the late Victorian period, c1890s. The chain is made from solid 9ct gold and has a little tab hallmark near the clasp. It has a real presence on the neck as the chain has lovely even round links that are approximately 4.3mm in diameter each. It is complete with a medium sized bolt ring that is in good working order. The chain is ideal worn alone or with a larger pendant that had a good size bail.

As with most old gold, there is a rose tint to the gold. I would say that this particular chain looks more rose than yellow.

Details:

Materials - 9ct Gold (marked)

Age - C1890s

Size - Chain is approx 4.3mm wide. It measures around 20.5” long

Condition - Very good. Some of the links do not appear to be soldered shut, though the chain has been made in this way and it is very secure. This point is noted for accuracy only.

Weight - 19.15g
