Victorian Banded Agate Drop Earrings

sold out

A pretty pair of earrings from the late Victorian period. The earrings have stunning banded agate torpedo drops that have plenty of colour variation and appear to glow from within when the light shines on them. They hang from a simple bezel set agate at the top and the colour match between the stripes across the pair is uncanny. They have simple shepherds hook fixtures; all gold has been tested as 9ct. Their size makes them very wearable; eye-catching, but not so large that they overtake. A lovely example.

Details:

Materials - 9ct Gold (tested), Banded Agate

Age - Late Victorian

Size - The torpedoes measures approx 25mm long by 8.5mm wide. The earrings measure approx 35mm long excluding the hook.

Condition - Very good. A little hint of glue at the fittings, noted for accuracy only and to aid security of the drops; fairly common in this style of earrings.

Weight - 6.16g the pair
