sold out

A beautiful pendant from the late Victorian period, originating from France. The pendant is made from solid 18ct gold and is the shape of a decorative crescent moon. The moon exhibits a pretty scalloped edge and has an openwork design studded with little stars. The stars are set with real cultured split pearls and are a lovely celestial addition to this style. It is a good size and looks great on the neck.

The chain pictured is for display only.

Details:

Materials - 18ct Gold (tested), Pearls

Age - Late Victorian, c1890s

Size - The crescent measures approx 28mm high excluding the bail, by around 26.5mm wide.

Condition - Very good. Evidence to the back suggests that this piece started life as something else, likely a brooch, though it came to me as it is.

Weight - 2.74g
