Victorian Daisy Micro Mosaic Locket
A stunning locket made in the Victorian period, c1870s. The locket is made from solid 15ct gold and has a beautiful micro mosaic as the front. The mosaic is made from many tessara (small tile), and depicts a pretty bunch of daisies. The daisies are perfectly made and the piece almost has a mild 3D effect given the slight dome shape of the picture. The mosaic has a wonderful decorative border and sits in a plain gold frame. The locket is finished with a rope twist border and there is a glass covered locket to the back. The locket can be slid out to place your own photo or momento inside.

Condition - Very good. The rope border is attached in two places at the side of the locket and is secure. There is a little movement at the point of the bail as the solder is not at this point. Noted for accuracy only and not at all detrimental to the piece.
