Victorian Diamond Fuchsia Pendant
The most exquisite pendant from the early Victorian period, c1840s. The pendant is made from silver with 15ct gold to the back. It is a wonderful unusual design and has been made in the shape of a fuchsia flower. The front of the fuchsia is set throughout with rose cut diamonds. The diamonds fill every detail of the flower and sparkle beautifully due to the lovely old rose cuts. It is complete with a pretty spray out of the bottom, each metal stem set with a tiny rose cut diamond at the end. This is such a truly remarkable piece and perfect for candlelight, as would have been the case at the time. The fuchsia is said to symbolise confiding love and is a sign of trust.
This pendant should be worn with care due to its age and the setting of the diamonds. The chain pictured is for display only.
