Victorian Double Heart Bangle
A wonderful bracelet from the Victorian period, c1880s. The bangle is made from gold coloured metal and in fact, the bangle part of the bracelet is very definitely rose or copper coloured. The setting of the hearts and the rope twist details are more yellow in appearance. At the centre are two pretty iridescent glass hearts. The pictures do not show the true colour of these beautiful glass stones as they have a real flash of blue and purple that moves throughout. Topped with a little rope twist to finish, representing a lovers knot. A beautiful and romantic piece that I could not leave behind.
Details:
Materials - Gold and Copper coloured metal, Glass
Age - Late Victorian
Size - The hearts measures approx 12mm high by 11mm wide each with the whole central setting measuring approx16.5mm high by 24mm across. The bangle is oval in shape and has an internal diameter of 2.35”. It would fit a small-ish wrist.
Condition - Very good. A couple of very tiny chips beneath the claws to one heart in a couple of areas, though these are noted for accuracy and only visible through magnification under very close inspection. Wear commensurate with age.
Weight - 8.73g
