Victorian Enamel Diamond & Pearl Locket

A wonderful locket from the Victorian period, c1860s. The locket is made from solid 18ct gold and has wonderful, vibrant blue enamel to the front. The enamel is in lovely condition for its age and is very striking. At the centre is an applied star, which is set with a split pearl at the centre and beautiful rose cut diamonds in the points. The locket is decorated with a gorgeous beaded edge and the original bail finishes it perfectly. It opens to the front and has a hidden hinge to one side. Inside is the original glass, which can be carefully removed to place your own momento inside. A truly stunning antique piece in lovely condition.
