A beautiful locket from the Victorian period, c1890s. The locket is made from gilded metal that has the appearance of 9ct gold and has a lovely weight to it. The front has a spray of flowers that look to be forget-me-nots and a white rose. The varying blues with the white is a lovely combination and the enamel is very beautiful against the yellow gold background. The back has a buckle motif, common to this period and said to symbolise the bond of love. There is a frame on either side on the inside; one has the original glass in place. A lovely treat of a locket.

The chain pictured is for display only.
