Victorian Flat Cut Garnet Ring

£215.00

A lovely ring from the mid Victorian period, dated Birmingham 1871. The ring is in original condition and is made from 9ct gold with a clear hallmark inside the band. It has four flat cut garnets set in individual settings across the finger. It is a rather artisan ring with little ivy leaves to each shoulder and little balls adorning the setting. It is very charming and looks perfect alone or in a stack with a lovely low profile.

Details:

Materials - 9ct Gold (marked), Garnets

Age - Dated Birmingham 1871

Size - The garnets measure approx 4.2mm. The whole setting is around 19mm wide by 6mm.

Ring Size - UK P ½ US 8 This ring would be difficult to size without affecting the hallmark.

Condition - Good. Please bear in mind that this ring has been simply made. Please see the pictures for reference. One garnet has a chip to one edge, though it was likely set like this as the setting has not altered around it. There is surface wear to the gemstones. All details noted for accuracy and price has been adjusted accordingly.
