An exquisite little pinky ring from the Victorian period, c1860s. The ring is made from solid 9ct gold and has a lovely wide gold shank with a decorative edge. To the top is a forget me not flower with natural turquoise petals. The turquoise is such a wonderful, bright colour and looks very vivid on the hand. The turquoise gemstones are set in pie crust style settings with the little points of these edges adding an extra decorative element. The shank would have originally held woven hair, though this has been lost over time. The ring is in overall good order and is a true representation of the period.
