A lovely little locket from the Victorian period, c1890s. The locket is made from 9ct gold and is a pretty shield shape. To one side, a shield shaped sardonyx has been set and to the other, it is a bloodstone. The bloodstone is a lovely dark green with plenty of red speckles. The sardonyx appears mainly white with a hint of an orange border. To the inside, there are two frames, which can be removed to place your own photos inside. The locket is in lovely condition with a pretty engraved border round each of the stones.

The locket will come on a 14kt gold fill chain similar to the one pictured.

Materials - 9ct Gold (tested), Bloodstone, Sardonyx

Age - Late Victorian

Size - The locket measures approx 18.5mm long excluding the bail, by around 16mm wide. It is approx 8mm deep.

Condition - Very good. The internal shield frames fit in place better once a photo has been placed inside.
