Victorian Heart Arrow Gold Earrings
A stunning pair of earrings from the late Victorian period. The earrings have a hollow construction and are made from 9ct gold with a rosy hue. They are a wonderful design with a heart to the top, struck through with crossed arrows. Hanging from the hearts is a faceted drop surrounded by a chunky border that swings in position. The border is complete with ball highlights to the edges.
These earrings feel very special and unique. They have a kitemark to the back, which shows that the design was registered on 6th Jan 1880. The bundle number is 1; perhaps they were the only pair? They are in excellent condition and look fabulous in the ear. A true piece of history.
