A wonderful chain from the late Victorian period with a date stamp for Birmingham 1890. The chain is made from solid sterling silver and has the lion passant on every link. It is such wonderful quality and has an unusual elongated curb link. The chain is complete with a giant dog clip - the largest I have seen - and a t-bar drop. The date stamp can be found on the tbar along with the maker W.W.C. (William Walter Cashmore). Remnants of the makers mark also remain on the dog clip. This is such a statement necklace and looks fabulous at any time.

Details:

Materials - Sterling SIlver (full hallmarks)

Age - Dated Birmingham 1890

Size - The chain measures approx 15.5mm wide. Each link is approx 15.5mm by 32.5mm. The dog clip measures approx 38.2mm in length. The whole chain is 15 1/2” long. It is a great choker length for a smallish neck allowing for the thickness of the chain

Condition - Excellent

Weight - 133g (yes, it really is that heavy!)
