Victorian Lapis Lazuli Snake Seal
An exquisite seal from the Victorian period. The seal is made from solid 18ct gold and has a plain lapis lazuli gemstone set into the base. The top of the seal is the prettiest coiled snake. The tail curls to one side whilst the body twists in the centre, creating the bail. The little head rests on the opposite side of the seal. Such beautiful details in a small thing with some texture to the body to imitate scales. The seal is complete with some flower engraving to the frame of the lapis.

Materials - 18ct Gold (tested), Lapis Lazuli
Age - Victorian
Size - The seal measures approx 17mm high including the bail, by 11.8mm wide at the base.
Condition - Very good. Wear commensurate with age. The lapis is a little rubbed and has a little rattle in the setting. The lapis is stepped and the setting goes over the step, which would make it very difficult to lose. It is safe in place.
