A wonderful seal from the Victorian period. The pendant is 9ct rose gold cased; in this instance, it has a very thin later of gold over metal. It has certainly seen some life with some dings here and there and some wear to the gold casing. It has a wonderful white chalcedony seal in the base, which says ‘Une lettre adoucit des peines de l’absence’ within a letter design. This is French and translates to ‘A letter sweetens the sorrows of absence’. Such a wonderful sentiment in its original form.

Chain pictured is for display only.
