Victorian Moonstone Trilogy Ring

A wonderful ring from the late Victorian period, c1880s. The ring is made from 15ct gold and has beautiful engraving in the shoulders of the shank. Three wonderful moonstones have been claw set across the finger. They are cabochon cut and have reasonably high domes allowing the light to move around them beautifully. They have a lovely adularescence and pretty blue shades in certain lights. If you love a moonstone, these are very beautiful.

This ring should be worn with care due to the open nature of the setting.

Age - Late Victorian

Size - The central moonstone is very slightly larger than the outer two and measures around 6.2mm in diameter, whilst the others are around 6mm each. The whole setting is around 16.6mm across

Ring Size - UK L 1/4 US 5 3/4. This ring could be resized a little

Condition - Very good. One outer moonstone has a little tan coloured line inclusion to one side and the central moonstone has a little chip under one of the centre claws. Both noted for accuracy and not obvious when worn.
