Victorian Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring

£0.00
sold out

A pretty and fairly ornate cluster ring from the late Victorian period, c1890s. The ring is made from solid 18ct gold and has a daisy cluster of diamonds at the centre. The central diamond is marginally bigger than the surrounding halo of eight. All diamonds are old mine cuts and there is a total of approximately 0.4cts in the ring. This estimate is based on the mm measurements in the settings. There is certainly plenty of sparkle throughout and the diamonds appear to be all original. The ring is complete with a little heart shaped engraving in the shoulders.

Details:

Materials - 18ct Gold (tested), Diamonds

Age - Late Victorian

Size - The cluster measures approx 8mm in diameter. The whole setting is around 10mm in diameter

Ring Size - UK O 1/4 US 7 1/2 This ring could be resized

Condition - Very good. The diamonds appear to have no chips and are in good condition overall. The back of the shank has worn to the edges, creating a little edge in the gold, likely through wearing next to other rings. Noted for accuracy only; shank is still fairly substantial. A similar occurrence beneath the cluster, for the same reason.

Weight - 3.7g
