Victorian Pansy Carnelian Heart Pendant
A beautiful example of this style of pendant. This pretty carnelian heart is from the Victorian period and has the most exquisite pansy fitting at the base of the bail. The pansy is made from 15ct gold and is such a lovely detail. The pansy was used to convey love in the Victorian period and is said to say ‘I am thinking of you’ from the French for think, ‘penser’. A double love token. The carnelian has beautiful natural markings within the stone and is a lovely burnt orange.
