A beautiful slide pendant from the Victorian period, c1870s. The pendant is made from 18ct gold (rosy in colour) and is French in origin. It has a halo of Perpignan garnets; a particular type of garnet from the Perpignan region of France, cut in a rose cut with the facets to the surface. The garnets in this pendant sit in closed back settings and have the wonderful rose red colour associated with these particular garnets. At the centre of the halo is a pretty arrow with a little seed pearl at the centre. To the back, the pendant has a slide fitting meaning that it could be worn on a ribbon, though it also sits well on a chain.

The chain pictured is for display only.
