Victorian Rare 15ct Mesh Buckle Ring

A beautiful ring from the late Victorian period, c1880s. The ring is made from solid 15ct gold, marked on the back of the keeper, and is a buckle design. It is made from closely woven gold mesh that has been intricately made and is flexible. At the top there is a rounded buckle design with a keeper set with three natural red rubies. The ‘hole’ has a little faux seed pearl and the belt is complete with a gold triangular end. Such beautiful work and real attention to detail. This is a rare find and a true collectors item.

Size - The ring is around 6mm wide. The buckle is 9mm wide.

Ring Size - UK R US 8 3/4 This ring measures as an S on the mandrel, but due to the delicacy seems to fit better as an R.

Condition - Good. A little damage to the edges in some places, though the ring is fully wearable and these do not detract from its beauty or harm its stability.
