Victorian Rock Crystal Heart & Fly Necklace
A beautiful pendant from the late 19th Century, c1890s. The pendant is a polished rock crystal in the shape of a puffy heart. It appears to be in excellent condition with no chips and is a wonderful, large size. To the front, a little amethyst glass fly has been set. The fly has all his legs and is secure. The pendant has silver fittings and hangs on a Victorian silver chain.
It is unusual to find this style of pendant in a heart shape; more often than not, they are oval with a faceted edge. A lovely point of difference.
Details:
Materials - Silver (tested), Rock Crystal, Amethyst Glass
Age - Late 19th Century
Size - The heart measures approx 36mm long excluding the bail by 29.5mm wide. The fly measures approx 13.5mm by 10mm. The chain is around 1mm thick and 16” long.

Weight - 13.17g excluding the chain, 14.4g including the chain
