Victorian Rose Diamond Onyx Pendant

An absolutely exquisite pendant from the late Victorian period. The pendant is made from 18ct gold, which has a slight rosy tint, and is likely French in origin. There looks to be a French mark on the jump ring, though it is illegible, and the gold has been tested as 18ct. The pendant has a beautiful carved piece of black onyx in a gold frame. Three little ‘petals’ have been pinned into the carving and these have stunning pear shaped rose diamonds set into them. The little bar at the top of the spray of petals is also studded with tiny rose diamonds. It is a fairly petite pendant and yet every element exhibits incredible attention to detail. Such a lovely piece. Ideal alone or worn with others.

The chain pictured is for display only.
