Victorian Rub Over Diamond Ring

sold out

A perfect everyday ring from the Victorian period, dated Birmingham 1863. The ring is made from solid 18ct gold and has full British hallmarks. Three diamonds have been rub over set in the wonderful tactile shank. The diamonds are a little mixed in cut with two looking as though they are old cuts whilst one of the end diamonds looks be a more modern cut with a large table; perhaps it is a replacement, though this is not obvious and the diamonds are a good match overall. They are around I-J colour and SI2 clarity. The ring feels very comfortable on the finger and is a perfect ring for everyday as the diamonds are well protected in their settings.
