Victorian Spinner and Bean Charms

£100.00

A lovely little collection of charms from the late Victorian period. The charms include two little beans; one pale amethyst and another matte silver with a peanut style texture to the metal. The other two charms are pale amethyst spinner charms with gold coloured metal fixtures, likely brass. The central bail is solid 9ct gold. The amethysts are all faceted beautifully; the lucky bean all over and the spinners on the edges. The spinners each have three faces. I love these little charms all together and they look beautiful on a simple fine chain.

They will come on a 14kt gold fill chain similar to the one pictured.

Details:

Materials - Silver (tested), Amethyst, Brass, 9ct Gold (bail only)

Age - Late Victorian c1890s

Size - The silver bean measures approx 12mm excluding the bail by 7mm. The larger amethyst spinner measures approx 14mm wide including the metal fittings by 11mm high.

Condition - The amethyst bean has a chip to one edge and is a little chipped around the fitting, though it is secure in place. Other pieces are in good condition. The silver bean has a slightly rough edge, likely original.

Weight - 3.03g charms only.
