Victorian Turquoise & Diamond Marquise Ring

An exquisite ring from the mid Victorian period, c1860s. The ring is made from solid 15ct gold, marked on the inside of the shank, and is a beautiful marquise shape. At the centre are hand cut rose diamonds in a closed back setting. The facets of the diamond are fairly irregular creating a charming play of light throughout the stones. Surrounding the trilogy of diamonds is a marquise halo of turquoise. The turquoise is lovely and bright and compliments the diamonds well. The shoulders of the shank have graduated ball details amongst the split design and the ring is of the utmost quality.

This ring has a beautiful dome to the back and the stones are set in closed back settings. It should be worn with care, particularly around water.
